“Only 10 per cent of Indians speaks English. About 1 billion people in India do not know English. Instead, they speak one of the 100 languages of India. They are now accessing smartphones and would prefer the Internet in their language. "It has been also saying," Koo is an attempt to listen to the voice of hart of these Indians. They can now participate in their mother tongue on the internet by listening to the views of some of the sharp minds of India and can also speak their mind through their thoughts."

Messages can be written up to 400 characters long and are called "Koo". There are language communities that essentially show all content in a particular language.
